Ghost and 7thProphet (G7) is a global entertainment company founded over a decade ago by industry professionals Ares “Ghost” Smith and Michael “7thProphet” Gray. The founders launched the company after gaining valuable experience working with major artists and record labels. Their goal was to create new opportunities and develop talent on an international scale. Early in their journey, they demonstrated their vision by expanding beyond local markets. Their first major breakthrough came when they sent DJ Double OO to Brazil to headline a major music festival.
The event proved highly successful and helped establish the company’s global presence. Following the festival, DJ Double OO performed in more than 10 countries. He also released numerous music projects that contributed to the company’s growing reputation. As a result, G7 strengthened its position as a rising force in the entertainment industry. Today, Ghost and 7thProphet continues to grow as an independent powerhouse, building strong relationships and expanding its global talent roster.
Ares “Ghost” Smith was raised in Michigan, where he developed an early passion for music and motorcycles that shaped his lifestyle and career path. He later became involved with Ruff Ryders Lifestyles while also beginning to showcase his musical talents. After leaving the business world, Ghost worked with several independent music labels, gaining valuable experience in the operational and business aspects of the industry. He eventually partnered with Michael “7th Prophet” Gray to build their own legacy and establish their entertainment brand. Today, Ghost continues expanding his reach by focusing on community impact and partnering with A.Y.A. to explore new opportunities and provide insight into the entertainment industry.
Michael D'Angelo Gray, AKA "The 7th Prophet", was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He developed a passion for entertainment at an early age, performing and dancing in the style of Michael Jackson while also writing songs and poetry. As a young adult, he spent more than five years learning the business side of the music industry while working alongside Teddy Riley. He later toured with national recording artists and contributed to major events including the Hopeville Tour with Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and Yolanda Adams, as well as Battle of the Bands events featuring Nick Cannon and Anthony Hamilton. Expanding his role as a business professional, he secured recording deals and partnered with G-Unit A&R representative ItsYourBoyJayT to promote unsigned artist projects. He later co-founded Ghost & The 7thProphet Entertainment with Ares Smith, continuing his mission to grow as an entertainment mogul and build a global platform for emerging talent.
Paul “Peezy” Hemphill comes from a legacy of musical excellence as the son of acclaimed director and producer T.J. Hemphill. With more than 30 years of experience in music, stage, and film production, he has played a key role in Hemphill Entertainment since the 1990s. Throughout his career, Peezy has contributed to the sale of over half a million records and worked with artists including Michelle Williams, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, BeBe Winans, and Sean “Puffy” Combs. At just 22 years old, he earned his first Gold record plaque, highlighting his early success and industry impact. Most recently, Peezy composed the score for the feature film Shaded Dreams and continues expanding the Hemphill legacy across music, stage, and film.
